About Stud Finder

Stud Finder is an iOS and Android app from Appcellent. It uses your phone's built-in magnetometer to find the metal fasteners that hold drywall onto wall studs — so you can mount TVs, shelves, and artwork without extra hardware. It's free to try and ad-free.

Why we built it

Most DIYers don't own a stud finder. We thought — every iPhone already ships with a sensor that can do the job. So we built a simple, offline, privacy-preserving app around it.
